David Buckland

David Buckland is a designer, artist, exhibition curator and film-maker, as well as Cape Farewell’s founder and manager. Cape Farewell is an international leading initiative linking culture and climate change. This international non-profit program brings creatives, scientists and informers together to formulate and amplify a creative language translating the issue of climate change stakes’s urgency.

As an exhibition curator, David Buckland has co-organised major climate art exhibitions such as “Art and Climate Change” for the National History Museum in London (2006). His artwork has been exhibited in numerous galleries in London, Paris and New York and collected by prestigious museums (National Portrait Gallery, Centre Georges Pompidou, MoMA…). Several books and movies are available on his work (Art From The Arctic, Burning Ice,…)

David Buckland est un designer, artiste, commissaire d’expositions, cinéaste ainsi que le fondateur et le directeur de Cape Farewell. Cape Farewell est une initiative internationale de premier plan faisant le lien entre la culture et le changement climatique. Ce programme international à but non-lucratif réunit des créateurs, des scientifiques et des informateurs pour élaborer et amplifier un langage créatif sur l’urgence des enjeux climatiques.

En tant que commissaire d’exposition, David Buckland a co-organisé de grandes expositions d’art sur le climat tels que “L’Art et le Changement Climatique” pour le Musée national d’histoire de Londres (2006). Ses oeuvres ont été exposées dans de nombreuses galeries à Londres, Paris et New York et présentées par des musées prestigieux (National Portrait Gallery, Centre Georges Pompidou, MOMA …).
