Hassan Hajjaj

Artist, photographer and contemporary fashion designer, Hassan Hajjaj is one of Morocco’s preeminent international artists. Born in 1961 in Larache, Morocco, he lives and works between London and Marrakech.

He has a diverse practice portfolio that includes installation, performance, fashion, and furniture design. He promotes “upcycling” which is at the heart of his creations and he collaborates with local communities.

Hassan Hajjaj is exhibited all over the world. In 2016 alone: at the Taymour Grahne Gallery in New York, at the Third Line Art Gallery in Dubai, and at Colette in Paris…

From November 10th to November 14th, Hassan will welcome you to his residence in the Riad Yima where you may experience his artwork. Furthermore, he will have a carte blanche on November 11.

Artiste, photographe et designer de mode contemporain, Hassan Hajjaj compte parmi les plus grands artistes marocains reconnus internationalement. Né en 1961 à Larache, au Maroc, il vit et travaille entre Londres et Marrakech.

Le travail de Hassan Hajjaj couvre des champs artistiques différents : design, création de mobilier, stylisme, etc. Au coeur de sa démarche figurent la réutilisation d’objets, le « upcycling » et la valorisation des talents et communautés locales.

Hassan Hajjaj est exposé dans le monde entier. En 2016 : à la Taymour Grahne Gallery à New York, à la Third Line Art Gallery à Dubaï, chez Colette à Paris…

Du 10 au 14 novembre, Hassan accueillera tout le monde à sa résidence au Riad Yima où l’on pourra découvrir son travail artistique. Une carte blanche lui sera également accordée le 11 novembre.
