Tristan Lecomte

Beyond founding and developing Alter Eco, France’s organic and fair trade pioneer company, Tristan Lecomte founded PUR Project in 2008 to fight against climate change and deforestation using the Insetting approach. A commited innovator, he developed the IPI platform within Pur Project in 2013, and decided to fully devote himself to its development in 2016.

The International Platform for Insetting (IPI) non-profit organization was created in order to re-define, defend and promote Insetting (climate project development – compensation and adjustment – with strong socio-environmental impacts within the specific fields and the influencial sphere of compensating companies).

A lead figure within social entrepreneurship, ways of consumption’s ecological transition and now within companies’environmental performance as well, Tristan has been time and time again: named “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum in 2008; “Fellow Ashoka” in 2009; one of the “100 most influential people in the world” by TIME Magazine in 2010 and “Social Entrepreneur of the year 2013” by the Schwab Foundation.

Après avoir fondé et développé Alter Eco, l’entreprise pionnière du commerce équitable et biologique en France, Tristan Lecomte fonde PUR Projet en 2008 pour lutter contre le changement climatique et la déforestation à travers l’approche de l’Insetting. Homme engagé et novateur, il développe en 2013 la plate-forme IPI au sein de Pur Projet et décide en 2016 de se consacrer intégralement à cette plate-forme.

L’International Platform for Insetting (IPI) est une association, créée dans le but de mieux définir, défendre et promouvoir l’Insetting (développement de projets climatiques – compensation et adaptation – à forts impacts socio-environnementaux au sein même des filières et de la sphère d’influence des entreprises qui compensent).

Figure de l’entrepreneuriat social, de la transition écologique dans les modes de consommation et aujourd’hui aussi de la performance environnementale des entreprises Tristan compte de nombreuses reconnaissances : désigné “Young Global Leader” par le Forum Économique Mondial en 2008, Fellow Ashoka en 2009, il a été nommé par le TIME Magazine comme l’une des “100 personnes les plus influentes du Monde” en 2010 et “Entrepreneur Social de l’Année 2013” par la Fondation Schwab.
